This program explores the many dimensions of love and partnership through music and narration led by Jamie Bernstein, daugher of the great Leonard Bernstein. At its center is Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, offering a thoughtful and often humorous look at marriage. Surrounding it is a curated selection of works that reflect celebration, tradition, and intimacy, including music by Strauss, Saint-Saëns, and Mendelssohn. Each piece contributes a different perspective, from playful to reflective. With narration guiding the experience, this concert creates a cohesive and engaging exploration of relationships through both sound and story.
